The company’s founder, Peter Evans (former Sales and Marketing for Burroughs Europe), still leaves his mark with the company name today! He established the Company in 1984, with Dr Michael Foley as his CTO.
The steady growth of the company was based in two geographical locations, London and Cardiff. London is the base for Sales, Marketing and Client Relationship Managers (close to its original client base) whilst Cardiff is the Development and Support centre. After 10 years of success Peter Evans, then aged 69, retired from the company in 1994 and handed the baton over to Dr Foley who still leads the organisation today.
Today, having been through several cycles of product development, peterevans can be seen as one of the great survivors of the boutique software houses.
Through careful and effective management the company has remained profitable, whilst investing on average more than 30% of its annual revenue on Research and Development. Being client centric the company ensures that all its endeavours bring direct benefits to its existing and future client base. This has been rewarded by it winning the award for superior customer service four times in recent years. peterevans is rapidly becoming known as THE award winning company. As well as the aforementioned customer services quartet we have also been recognised for our STP Efficiency, the quality of our communications to the market and the strong directorship of CEO Dr Foley.
Our growth into new business areas within our niche has been enhanced by the formation of several strategic partnerships with major industry players including Microsoft and Oracle and various specialised complementary software providers. With Europe rapidly becoming our ‘domestic’ market both strategic and tactical alliances play a key role in the enhancement and deployment of our solutions.
Our diverse client base consists of many top financial institutions, including domestic and international banks, traditional and internet based stockbrokers. These clients are our most valued asset and we strive to ensure their satisfaction and everything we do is aimed at this. In addition a continual two way dialogue helps to ensure that our solutions are relevant and effective to the ever changing financial services market.
